Catching-Up Part 1: The Book Tour

Phew - I've had a crazy-busy summer and early fall. Between The Voodoo Killings release, a cross country book tour, and a recent to a tropical paradise in the middle of no where (research for a new book- first draft done), I've had a busy plate. Oh yes, and for you Owl fans, I also handed in Owl 3, Owl and the Electric Samurai.

So, without further ado, time to catch up with photos. Below are the highlights from my amazing XCanada trip with my good friend and fellow author Alex Renwick.

Coles Bookstore in Nelson BC - I'm showing off The Voodoo Killings and some of my thrift store finds (hat and scarf). We hit second hand/thrift stores in every city we visited. (photo by Alex Renwick).

The Next Chapter with Shelagh Rogers

A few months ago I had the honour of talking with Shelagh Rogers on The Next Chapter at CBC Radio. For those not in the know, Shelagh is an institution to the Canadian writing community, profiling and interviewing Canadian authors about their work. If you've never tuned in, definitely worth a listen! You can listen to the 12 minute interview and read highlights here or by clicking the image below.

Fun fact: I ended up having to run down Georgia Street at 8:55 am in downtown Vancouver to make the interview due to a late running train. Why was the commuter train running late? Because that morning it hit a very unfortunate bear. Only in British Columbia.
